The Real Fall Shady is fall fragrance for people who like pumpkin but don’t need their house smelling like somebody dropped a latte face-first onto the carpet.

Warm pumpkin and sticky-sweet molasses hit first, followed by cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg. Then roasted espresso barges in, darkens the whole thing and changes the entire mood. Soft cashmere smooths it all into something bold, warm and ridiculously cozy.

I wasn’t sure what people would think when I brought this one to our fall market last year. It flew off the shelves. Turns out plenty of people had been waiting for pumpkin spice to grow a backbone.
